House Finch Audubon Bird, 5 inches, from Wild Republic
From suburban yards to forests and fields, the house finch is found across most of North America. Males have a reddish-orange face and chest and a distinctive song. Females also sing. Finches will come to feeders and forage for a variety of insects, fruits and seeds. They build their nests from grasses and plant material in hollow trees, shrubs and buildings.
