The Jaguarondi (also spelled
Jaguarundi) has a long body,
short legs, a flattened tail,
and a long head with a short
nose and small low-set ears.
It can be found in two colors,
a brownish-gray to black and
bright reddish-brown. The
jaguarondi may be found in
South America and in the
southwestern US, where it
hunts by night day, from the
ground, seeking mainly birds
and the occasional rodent.
